Full Day Minority Longji Terrace SIC Tour

The minority Longji Terrace tour will start by being picked up from your hotel in Guilin downtown at around 08:00 in the morning. Then driving from Guilin to Longsheng. It will go up and down the mountains.

Longji area is filled with ranges of hills, so the clever local ancestors developed thousands of amazing rice terraces for living. With a history of more than 700 years, the terrace fields are not only tourist attractions nowadays but still being used for growing rice by Yao and Zhuang villagers.



It takes about 2-2.5 hours to drive from the downtown of Guilin to Longji Rice Terraces Fields. The mini-van of our group will park outside of Dazhai Village. You will find tier upon tier fields surrouding the village. It is really majesty sightseeing. Walking for about 15 minutes from the parking lot, you will arrive at Dazhai Village, which is a Red Yao Village. You will find the local women in ethnic red clothing. Jinkeng Rice Terraces are just surrounding this small village. If you like hiking, you could choose to trek up to the top of the terraces along the trails in the fields. Cable car is also a good choice to make the trip more comfortable (optional on your expenses).

The Longji Rice Terraces are much prettier after the raining, fog or while it has been harvested. So be patient when the weather is not so perfect. It will be a great thing to see how the villager to make the mountain arable. The Chinese lunch will be served at local restaurant.



In the afternoon, on the way back to Guilin, we will have a stop at Huangluo Yao Village, where you will have a chance to watch a Long Hair Show performed by local Yao women.  Then we have to see goodbye to these attractive villages and drive back to Guilin for another 2 hours.
