Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival GuilinArrive in Guilin, a small city with great natural beauty of south China. Be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day.

Accommodation: In Guilin

Guilin is world-famous for its serene landscape, Karst limestone formations, mist-covered hills and bamboo groves. It is home to more than ten ethnic groups, including Han, Zhuang, Miao, Yao, Hui and Dong. On the way from the airport to your hotel, you will see dozens of pretty hills everywhere in the city of Guilin. It is a city of hills and green trees and boasts one of the most photographed areas of China.

Day 2

Guilin    Yangdi  Xingping    Yangshuo
After breakfast, you will be transferred (about 30-40 minutes) to Yangdi and dropped off at the pier there. You will then start the most popular Li River Hiking Trip to Xingping along the river bank. Arrival Xingping, you can take a short stop at this ancient town, then take a driving to Yangshuo afterwards. Stay overnight in Yangshuo. If you are interested, you can enjoy the famous Impression of Liu Sanjie as your optional night entertainment.

Hiking along the bank of Li RiverThe distance between Guilin and Yangdi is about 20km. The whole hiking route (Yangdi-Xingping) will take you about 6hours.

Yangdi is a small and quiet riverside village far from the bustle of city. It is known as the start point of Li River's highlight section. About 30 minutes hiking forward will bring you to Langshi, your second crossing point. Walking downstream along the picturesque scenery you will reach Nine-horses Mural Hill, one of the symbolic sights of the Li River. The third crossing point is not far from the hill. After taking the third ferry and about 8 km hiking, you'll see Yellow Cloth Shoal where peaks are steep and water surface is wide and calm. Here the riverbed can be seen clearly covered with the sands which resemble a piece of yellow cloth. The coach will be found waiting at Xingping to pick you up to Yangshuo. The distance between Xiangping and Yangshuo is about 26 km.

Some guests may also hear about the night show- Impressions of Liu Sanjie performance, which utilizes the waters of the Li River as its stage, flanked by twelve mist shrouded hills and the heavens as its backdrop. Mist, rain, moonlight, the hills and their inverted reflections in the river all become the ever-changing natural background, so you will enjoy a unique experience each time you attend. In the 'Impressions of Liu Sanjie', you will be presented with stylized scenes and events from the daily life of the Zhuang people living around the Li River.

Day 3

Yangshuo    Guilin
Today you will enjoy a cycling & bamboo rafting tour in Yangshuo. In the afternoon, be transferred back to Guilin by your private vehicle.

Cycling around Yangshuo CountrysideAfter breakfast you will start your cycling trip from Yangshuo downtown to Moon Hill (3 hours riding). Riding northwards about 1km you will meet a cross road, turn left and find a sign indicates “Shima Road”, then you have to riding downwards along the road. Several minutes later, you will see a short stone bridge – Aishan Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue your riding then you will reach Aishan Village, from where you have to get off the road but turn to the country path. When approach Black Dragon Pool Park, you will ride back to the main road to reach Moon Hill scenic spot, you can then take an exterior view of the attraction.

Moon Hill is a great limestone peak with a naturally created moon-shaped cavern passing through just below its summit.

After that, you have to ride backwards a short distance to reach Chaoyang Pier, from where you will start your downstream rafting along the Yulong River. You and your bike can have a bamboo raft for the drifting activity (generally speaking, two people will share a raft). After 2 hours, you will get to the Gongnong Bridge, then ride back to Yangshuo downtown.

After a short rest, you will be driven back to Guilin.

Day 4

Departure Guilin
Reed Flute CaveIn the morning time, you can take a half-day city tour of Elephant Trunk Hill and Reed Flute Cave. Then you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to your next stop.

Elephant Trunk Hill, or Xiangbishan, is the symbol of Guilin. Observed from a distance, you will see an elephant-like form standing majestically at the confluence of the Li and Yang Rivers, with its trunk arching into the clear waters, a fantasy elephant eternally quenching a gargantuan thirst; lifelike in shape and energetic in posture.

Reed Flute Cave is named for the special reeds, used for making flute instruments that grow near the cave entrance. The caves are a feast for the eyes. The natural beauty of a profusion of stalactites and stalagmites, stele, stone pillars, stone curtains and stone flowers creating an infinite variety of extraordinary scenes, creatively illuminated, is bound to evoke gasps of admiration. It is fitting then, that Reed Flute Cave is commonly praised as Nature's Grand Art Palace.
