Li River

Li River, the most popular at scenic area in China, is located in Guilin. It originates in Cat Mountain  and flowing 427km to Xijiang River at Wuzhou. The Li River has been eulogized as a fascinating scroll of the traditional Chinese painting by celebrities of ancient and modern, domestic and overseas.

Li River is the outstanding representative of the typical tower Karst formation in Guiln areas. The cream of Li River extends 83km from Guilin City to Yangshuo. This section of Li River boasts strand peaks rising abruptly from the flat ground, multi colored crags stand erect like pillar, crystal streams mirroring the green hills on banks and ancient trees growing straight out of rock fissures. This poetic landscape is featured by “the green hills, blue waters, bizarre caverns and weird rocks” as well as “deep pools, perilous shoals, murmuring springs and roaring waterfalls”
 
The major spots along this section from Guilin to Yangshuo include Oxen Gorge, Grown Cavern, Peach Blossom Villages, Fresco Hill, Yellow Cloth Shoal and Xingping Wonderland. Tourists could take a boat excursion to enjoy the scenic along the Li River. After the boat excursion, tourists could stay until evening in Yangshou to watch the night show “Impression of Liu Sanjie”.
